Overview

I am taking the Ottsworld annual surf camp tour to new continents! In 2027 we are riding the waves in South Africa! In addition to surfing and exploring Cape Town, I am offering an add-on Safari experience…cuz if you are going to Africa – then you can’t miss out on a safari!

Surf the waves, hike the peaks, and chase the sunsets—7 unforgettable days near Cape Town, the Mother City.

Set at the confluence of the Indian and Atlantic oceans and backed by the iconic Table Mountain, Cape Town is a place where wild landscapes, rich history, and vibrant creativity collide. This carefully curated 7-day adventure blends surf culture, scenic hikes, culinary discovery, and meaningful nature experiences. Designed for active, curious travelers, the itinerary balances guided experiences with unstructured time to absorb the rhythm of the Mother City.

Our base in the seaside village of Kalk Bay offers easy access to beaches, mountain trails, fishing harbours, and some of Cape Town’s most character-filled restaurants and galleries.

Fitness Level: Please note that this trip is best suited for those of a moderate fitness level who are comfortable in the ocean.

Safari Add-on: Join me for a 3 night/4 day safari at a luxury safari camp in the Eastern Cape after this trip! Dates Feb. 27 – March 2, 2027

Spend the afternoon unwinding after your journey. Wander the main road lined with antique shops, independent boutiques, and art galleries, or stroll the harbour where seals often bask on the docks. Kalk Bay’s tidal pools and seaside cafés offer the perfect introduction to Cape Town’s laid-back lifestyle.
