This is a story of family legacy, the pandemic, adventure travel, mid-life crisis and as my dad puts it…a lark.
During the pandemic, I took up cycling to explore and fell in love with it. Reflecting on 16 years of international travel, I decided to slow down and focus on the U.S., taking on my dad’s unfinished journey.
In 2022, I embarked on a quest to bike to all the state capitol buildings in the Lower 48 plus DC—a project my dad began in 1984 by walking between capitols.
I’ve launched a YouTube docu-series to share the story—my dad’s vision, my mom’s role, and my journey to explore rural culture, overlooked capital cities, and the heart of the U.S.
