25 Things you didn’t know about me…

You thought you knew me…well, here’s a few things that may surprise you:

  1. I was a licensed train Engineer and conductor/brakeman when I was 23 years old.
  2. I was a cheerleader in grade school.
  3. I ran 5 marathons.
  4. I am a die-hard Cornhusker football fan.
  5. I’m scared of driving in a foreign country…passenger or driver.
  6. I lived in the same house for 18 years growing up.
  7. I loved the movie Babe.  Yes, the one about the pig.
  8. I’m addicted to Dancing With the Stars and desperately want to be a ballroom dancer, yet I have no dancing talent.
  9. I tried out for Survivor once…no, I didn’t make it…duh.
  10. I’ve never broken a bone or had to get stitches…yes, this will now jinx me I’m sure.
  11. I still have 2 baby teeth.
  12. If I hadn’t started traveling, I was starting to get into the amateur boxing circuit.  I love to hit things…really hard.
  13. I rarely read books…maybe 2 books a year if I’m lucky.
  14. I worked at a fast food taco place all through college to help pay for my tuition and get free food.  It was there where I learned how to use a beer bong.
  15. I’m losing my hair…yeah – as if being 40 and having small boobs wasn’t a big enough problem.
  16. I used to be a fashionista…then I started traveling.
  17. I played with Barbies until I was about 13.
  18. I’m not religious, but pray every time I take off in a plane.
  19. I love jello shots…I won’t throw a party without them.
  20. I once managed to go on two dates in one night….those were the good ole’ days.
  21. I never, ever once heard my ‘clock’ ticking – never had a desire to have kids.
  22. I didn’t summit Kilimanjaro, and was sent down on the last day.
  23. I’m super competitive…I used to take my first dates to a bar where I could play Connect Four.  If they beat me I’d consider going out with them again.
  24. The only regrets I have is that I didn’t learn another language in school, didn’t study abroad in college, and never learned how to ski.
  25. I love costume/theme parties…especially if they include jello shots.
