Week In-stagram Review

10 Comments 23 August 2013

Each week brings some new scenery and location for me – that’s just the way I like it. If you want to follow where I am real time – then each Friday I will post 5 of my Instagram photos from the current week.

Some weeks I may be traveling somewhere exotic, and some weeks it may be less interesting – but it will give you a peek into my life of perpetual motion. This week I spent week #2  living my little hermit-like life at the lake cabin (owned my my sister & family)  in Wisconsin. I’m here to work on writing and some other projects that I needed to concentrate on before I throw myself into a whirlwind fall travel schedule (a really fun fall travel schedule!). Each night starting at 7:30 ‘the show’ began – the sun started dipping low and the colors were always a surprise. I would look up from my keyboard, gasp in delight, grab my camera and race outside to watch Mother Nature paint the sky with another beautiful lake sunset after another.  I absolutely love the peace and serenity of the cabin – I was soooooo sad to leave it.  But at least I’ll always have the pictures.  Plus – I’m pretty sure where I’m headed this fall,  I can expect some more pretty great sunsets in my future.

  1. Great shots! Beautiful sunsets!

  2. Wow oh wow! I can see why you didn’t want to leave the cabin either. Fantastic shots!

Stunning sunsets Sherry and the second shot here… WOW! The water was the perfect mirror. *slack-jawed from astonishment*

  4. Sometimes checking out at a lakeside cabin is just what the soul needs. I love going to my family cabin before/after a big trip as a bit of a buffer from the city.

  5. You are fortunate to have such a calm, scenic spot for your down time. Look forwrad to following your next adventure. Maybe in my province?

  6. Those sunsets are absolutely gorgeous and I love the cloud activity! This does look like an idyllic writer’s retreat – full of inspiration and necessarily quiet, but with company and community readily available during those times when you need to pull your head out of the project work!

  7. Sunset at the cabin…love!
