Last month I produced a Saigon City guide podcast for one of my favorite travel websites, The Indie Travel Podcast. I love writing, and I wasn’t really sure how I would like researching and doing a podcast, but it proved ot be a lot of fun! So – here’s everything you want to know about traveling to Saigon, from my perspective which of course is a bit more slanted to cultural travel rather than luxury travel or tours. Please feel free to share your comments and questions and of course please feel free to pass this podcast along to anyone you know traveling to Vietnam!

Great piece. Loved it.
Greatness. Podcasts are a great idea for you and it works perfect because your voice is very easy to listen to. Some might say soothing!
I finally by chance get to listen to some podcasts where I can actually learn something instead of listening to only sports podcasts. Also, thanks for the link to America’s history podcast thing. I’ll be listening to that as well.
Also, this is out of the blue but have you tried what americans call Custard Apple? I can’t spell the Vietnamese name but it’s this http://cache.virtualtourist.com/2719845-Custard_Apple-Indonesia.jpg
It is one of the things I miss most about Vietnam. Even though all my friends told me eating it would give you zits, I always told them it was worth it.
Thanks – glad you liked it – minus my horrendous Vietnamese pronunciation!
@Tony – yes – I have tried those custard apples – they were some weird mix btwn a pear and an apple – really yummy! Much better than durian! I hope you enjoy the History podcast- it was so informative…I felt like I was back in college!
wow, a travel podcast, that’s nice! Just finished listening to it and and I can say that I have learned a lot. I also like cultural more than luxury. and I agree with Tony, you’re voice sounds soothing. keep it up!
Great podcast. Made me long for the road again.
