Actually - my url didn't change - that was the one thing that I actually did right and planned. From the beginning of my blog I had the url 'ottsworld.com' - so that's what I handed out to everyone. When I switched to hosting it on my own and changing the design - I just repointed the url to the new location and that way it was seamless. Plus - I also put up my last post on the bootsnall blog that explained what I was doing - just in case anyone was looking there for me and wondering why there were no more updates. Finally, I sent out an email to my regular email list to let them know about the change. So - the lesson here is to pick and purchase a domain name that you will/can use in the future. @Leslie – good question Leslie!
