Since next week I return to NYC for the month of October to prep and host the NYC Meet Plan Go Travel event, I thought I would give NYC a little love. NYC was my last home I had, before I sold everything and started traveling 6 years ago. It will be nice to spend some extended time there again connecting with friends in between a whole lot of event planning!
You have all seen the typical NYC landmarks – the Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Wall Street – but today I wanted to bring you my NY, the everyday life of a New Yorker. It’s a different take on the usual places. This was the NYC that I was used to seeing every day – sometimes gritty, sometimes pretty – always artistic.
Enjoy my NYC.
If you are in NYC on October 16, 2012 – come on out and meet me and a whole plethora of other long term travelers at Meet, Plan, Go!

Beautiful photos! A great way for someone visiting to New York to experience something a little unusual is to plan to spend some time with Family In New York! They don’t just offer your typical run of the mill New York tours! They specialize in custom tours that take you off the beaten path! It’s a great way to spend some time when visiting NYC!

Love the parking shot. Indeed, Manhattan space is very well used!

I live overseas now, but I lived in New York for many years. These pictures are awesome. You’re making me really really nostalgic of my own stomping grounds 🙂

Beautiful photos. I especially like the one at the Met and the one at the Subway. Makes me yearn to get back to NYC.

Wow! What great NYC pictures. There is definitely no other city quite like it. I especially like the 2 story parking lot picture. That shows just how precious parking is around here.

I remember visiting our daughter in NYC. She moved back there when she graduated from art school in LA. She worked for a designer for a few years there. There was a flee market on an empty lot around the corner from her loft.
