I had a similar weather experience in Illinois, although mine was mixed with freezing rain and ice-coated roads. What made me laugh, though, is the image of you in your snuggie, watching Christmas story. My Dad and I vegged on the couch and he recliner all day, me wrapped in one of my Mom's hand-knitted afghans, watching Christmas Store over and over. I just never get tired of that movie. Maybe it has something to do with being raised in the Midwest. Have a wonderful New Year and safe travels in 2010.

Your so right. Had I been there instead of getting sunburnt here in Australia I would have loved every minute of it. All because its so foreign to me.

Love the little videos Sherry! Yay for you, viewing your own culture through a tourist's eyes...I'm a newcomer in New England now...although its not quite as exotic as Hong Kong there still is plenty for me to discover here, not to mention the snowflakes drifting down as I type!

Funny you mention it but now that you do I too realize how obsessed with weather the media and people are in the US. It's been snowing here for a few days this past week in Germany and people hardly talk about it and get around fine.

...and the snow I just saw in Copenhagen would probably shut down the east coast, but not there! Driving was as normal as ever.
