Kathmandu Photography – Boudhanath

2 Comments 17 April 2010

The Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath is one of the largest in the world.  It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site,  and it is one of the most popular tourist sites in the Kathmandu area.  Everytime I’m in Kathmandu it’s worth a stop not only for the stupa itself, but for thetemples, buildings, and people surrounding it.  Monks, tourists, and locals intermingle as the holy Buddha eyes peer down upon you.

Cool that it seems so accessible and you can see the temple in action :)

You;ve captured the eyes of the temple so well. I love the Buddhist eyes with their bright primary colours peetring at you at all angles.
