Each week brings some new scenery and location for me – that’s just the way I like it. If you want to follow where I am real time – then on Friday I will post some of my Instagram photos from the current week. Some weeks I may be traveling somewhere exotic, and some weeks it may be less interesting – but it will give you a peek into my life of perpetual motion.
I spent my week in NYC and as the “Hercules” storm came barreling in, I had to get tough, and so did other NYers. We received 6 inches of snow in Manhattan overnight, so I decided to get up early the next morning while it was still snowing with freezing temperatures and do a photo shoot. I toughed it out and lasted about 90 minutes in the snow before I couldn’t feel my fingers any longer. It was a fun shoot as I was able to get some shots on the Upper West Side before the throngs of commuters made the beautiful snow all slushy and dirty (or “snirt” as one of my Instagram followers called it ). You can see the fruits of my labor here on Huffington Post. But it wasn’t only about the snow this week, it was also about the “polar vortex” (seriously – when did we start naming every weather happening?)- whereby I decided to not be tough and stay in bed and drink coffee all day. I’ve had a big workload recently trying to prep for my next fun work gig in Hawaii – teaching at Iolani School as their Keables Chair holder. And finally – as it warmed up past double digits – I decided I better find my inner toughness and go out for a run.
So – this week is my ode to toughness, braving the snow, and dreaming big!
