Great article Sherry! You know, although I would never travel as extensively as you at that back-packer level, I have experienced everything on your list! Some items fit just as well with living in a foreign country as traveling through one…I have even done the 8 items of clothing one for 4-6 weeks, but its only when I’ve gone back to the states to visit. You’re right though I hate that one, and it makes no difference to Lee! I always put the clothes that I wore on a long trip to the US in the back of my closet when I get back to Hong Kong because I can’t stand to look at them for awhile!
Someone should teach me how to pack it all in one suitcase and one carryon.
